Voices for Veterans is a non-profit corporation in the State of Washington dedicated to assisting the homeless veteran population on the north Olympic Peninsula via the avenue of a stand down. Our stand down is an event that we have held in the past and plan to hold at least annually in the future. A stand down is an event where we invite the homeless veteran and veterans in need. We do this with the intention of helping to get them off the streets and out of the woods. Our objective is to continue to assist the homeless veteran population by organizing events that bring many social service providers together in one place to help homeless veterans. It is a one day event with open access; no questions asked and no hassles.
Our organization was started after our first event in October of 2004 it was a very successful event; we helped many homeless veterans and their families. We also helped many veterans in need of assistance who were on the verge of homelessness.
Bringing services to Veterans and their families, in the form of Stand Downs throughout our community.
